Surrey motel shooting sends man to hospital

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A shooting in Surrey has sent one person to the hospital.
Mounties say officers were called to a motel along King George Boulevard south of 96 Avenue just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived at the Grouse Creek Motel, first responders found a 38-year-old man who had been shot.
The Surrey RCMP says early indications suggest this was targeted. Investigators note the man is known to police.
“There is no indication of any ongoing threat to the public as a result of this incident,” a release reads.
Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have information about what happened.
