North Vancouver pharmacy with extra AstraZeneca vaccines on hand encouraging walk-ins

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — If you’re over the age of 55 and still need to get the AstraZeneca vaccine– one North Vancouver pharmacy says Sunday is the day.

Robyn Seipp is a pharmacist at Pure Integrative pharmacy in North Vancouver’s Edgemont Village. She says they have extra AstraZeneca doses, along with extra hands to give any walk-in’s the jab.

“It would normally be by appointment but because we have spaces and doses available, we’d love it if people came by.”

Seipp says pharmacists will be set up outside until 4:30 p.m.

Seipp is also reassuring British Columbians the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe and effective.

“As far as the health authorities are concerned there’s a very rare chance that you might have a side effect as can happen with any vaccine but if people have questions about it they can always come and chat with us.”
