SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A shuttle program has launched in the Fraser health region to help seniors and other vulnerable people get to their vaccine appointments.
In partnership with TransLink, the service is available to people who can’t afford or otherwise access transportation. Anyone who is eligible can sign up for a ride online as soon as they’ve registered online to receive the vaccine.
“We will book your appointment for you when we make your transportation arrangements. This helps ensure we can coordinate your transportation with your appointment time,” according to the website.
“There are shuttles operating in each municipality on specific days. Our team will make every effort to book you in on the earliest shuttle upon approval of your request.”
TransLink is partnering with Fraser Health to launch a vaccine shuttle program to help people facing transportation challenges accessing their COVID-19 immunization.
