Burnaby shooting leaves one man dead: IHIT

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) — One man is dead after a shooting in Burnaby Saturday evening, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
Police were called to 6th Street near 13th Avenue around 7 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
“One man was taken to hospital and has since died of his injuries,” says a tweet from the homicide team.

No further details have been released, but earlier in the evening Mounties warned people to expect a large police presence as they investigate.

Sixth Street was shut down to traffic between 12th and 16th Avenue.
