VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Fall in love with Vancouver all over again. That’s the idea behind Tourism Vancouver’s “Attractions Month” and its “LoveVancouver” campaign.
“It’s designed to really encourage locals and residents to get out and enjoy all that the city has to offer with activities and experiences. It’s also a really great way for locals to support the industry, just by going out to have some fun,” said Candice Gibson with Tourism Vancouver.
The idea is to encourage you to take a staycation and support local tourism at the same time. Gibson says there are a variety of experiences to explore.
“If they’re looking for a romantic activity or something that’s family friendly … or a great outdoor activity, there’s a real variety. We really encourage people to check it out and re-discover what our attractions in Vancouver are like,” she said.

The June campaign includes promotions and offers to some landmark attractions.
You’re urged to share your experiences online by posting photos, videos, and messages on Instagram with the hashtag #LoveVancouver.
The attractions included in the campaign are open now.
With COVID-19 case counts and hospitalizations continuing to decline and vaccination rates rising at a steady pace, the B.C. government is expected to ease some restrictions in mid-June, with the hope of life returning to near-normal by September.
