BC Ferries back to regular services Tuesday, mask policy updated

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — BC Ferries is expecting a surge in traffic, now that recreational travel to and from the Vancouver Island will be again starting Tuesday.
Announced Monday morning by the B.C. government, phase two of the province’s re-opening plan will go ahead, allowing non-essential travel within B.C. once again.
BC Ferries spokesperson Deb Marshall says regular services will resume as of midnight.

“Basically back to regular service. All customers will be welcome once the province lifts the restrictions, as of midnight tonight,” she says.
As of Tuesday, masks will no longer be required to be worn outdoors at its terminals.
“Outdoors at our terminals, customers will be welcome to wear a mask if they choose, but it would be optional. But onboard our vessels, the mask policy continues to be in effect.”
