VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Nearly nine months after a Vancouver man went missing at Manning Park, some of his belongings have been found.
Jordan Naterer, 25, was last seen during the Thanksgiving long weekend, when he set out for a solo hike. His vehicle was later found in the Frosty Mountain Trailhead, close to the Lightning Lake Day Use area.
Countless searches since then have turned up empty, until this weekend when a volunteer searcher found some of his items in a remote, limited access area.
What exactly was found is not being shared with the public, but RCMP say it’s quite certain it belonged to him.
“As of today and yesterday, an RCMP helicopter along with Princeton Search and Rescue, along several other local people, have been deployed to the area to continue the search. But at this time Mr. Naterer remains missing,”
RCMP Const. James Grandy said Tuesday.

Naterer is originally from Newfoundland.
He moved to Vancouver several years ago to attend UBC to study electrical engineering. Before he went missing, he had moved into a new apartment in Downtown Vancouver, with the help of his mother and sister.
When he disappeared, his parents flew from Atlantic Canada to Vancouver to help in the search. His parents have urged officials to renew efforts to find him.
The official search was suspended just over a week after he was reported missing on October 13. Many volunteers have been searching for him ever since, even starting a Gofundme for the family.
Anyone with information related to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Princeton RCMP at 250-295-6911.
