Victim identified in Vancouver’s 10th homicide

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver Police have identified the victim of the city’s 10th homicide of 2021 as Luis Rosas Saenz.
Saenz, 24, was found with a stab wound on the street near South West Marine Drive and West 57th Avenue on last Saturday, July 10, just after 6:30 a.m. He was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
“Investigators believe that a number of people were driving down the road at the time of the offence,” Const. Tania Visintin said in a release. “We need anyone with dash cam footage to call our investigators as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information or dash cam footage in the area between 6 and 7 p.m. is asked to call police at 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
