Kelowna nightclub is site of latest COVID-19 outbreak

KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) — Interior Health is putting out a warning for folks who might have attended a Kelowna nightclub last Sunday.
A cluster of COVID-19 cases is being linked to Gotham nightclub on July 18.

Interior Health is now asking people who were there that day to self-monitor for symptoms.

Contract tracing is now underway and Interior Health is reaching out directly to those who have been exposed, however the health authority is reminding people to get their COVID vaccinations.
“Everyone is encouraged to get their first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by dropping in to an immunization clinic or making an appointment,” the Interior Health statement reads.
Last summer, a number of Kelowna destinations were associated with outbreaks.
