Voluntary recall issued for popular Frank’s RedHot seasoning sold in B.C.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A recall has been issued for Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning over a possible Salmonella contamination.
The company says the recall is voluntary, and no illnesses have been reported. Health Canada has not issued a warning.
The symptoms of Salmonella infections can include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. It can be fatal in young children, elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
The potential risk was brought to the attention of McCormick & Company, Inc. by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
It affects the 153g bottle, with an expiration date of Sept. 6, 2022.

The products were shipped between June and July to British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.
