Fire breaks out at Surrey apartment complex

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — A three-alarm fire at a Surrey apartment complex Saturday has displaced some residents.

Assistant Fire Chief Rob Aldcorn says the fire happened near 161 Street and 83 Avenue, just after noon.

“Upon arrival, there were three units involved, and at this point, there is seven or eight units that are damaged by fire and or water,” Aldcorn tells NEWS 1130.

He says emergency social services has been activated to help out.

Nobody has been injured, and the cause hasn’t been figured out yet.
