Heavy rainfall warning issued for Metro Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — A potential deluge is coming our way Wednesday.
While Metro Vancouver saw some light to moderate rain through the morning and early afternoon, another wave of heavier rain is coming in.
Through Wednesday’s mid-afternoon until Thursday morning, the region could see 40 to 50 mm across the northern parts of the area. However, there could be about five to 20 mm for the southern parts of Metro Vancouver.
A rainfall warning is in effect for Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, and Maple Ridge.

At least half the days have had rain so far this month — 117 millimetres to date.
We could see another 30 to 50 as we look at just the next two days to wrap up the month.
On Wednesday evening, BC Ferries cancelled several sailings due to “adverse weather.”
