Surrey pedestrian killed after car crash on Pattullo Bridge: RCMP

SURREY (NEWS 1130) — Surrey RCMP say a pedestrian was killed on the south end of the Pattullo Bridge late Friday night.
Mounties say the person was hit just after the mid-span of the bridge near 12300 King George Blvd, above Highway 17.

Investigators from the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collison Investigation Team (CCIT) are on scene investigating.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
Mounties say they will provide another update Saturday morning.
Traffic in the area will be affected for the next few hours in Saturday morning, the public are being asked to avoid the area.
