Evacuation order issued for some properties in Hatzic Prairie near Mission

An evacuation order has been issued for people living on 52 properties in the Hatzic Prairie near Mission.

The Fraser Valley Regional District says heavy rain and debris jams could threaten lives and property.

Flooding from Lagace Creek, Dale Creek, Hatzic Slough and other waterways are threatening those areas. Road access is limited as a result.

The FVRD warns on-side water and septic systems could stop working when flooded.

The Fraser Valley Regional District has issued an evacuation order for 50 properties in Mission. (FVRD.CA)

Anyone who needs help should call the FVRD Emergency Operations Centre at 778-704-0400 or call 911
