Arrest made in case of missing Langley woman Naomi Onotera

An arrest has been made in the case of missing Langley woman Naomi Onotera, who was last seen leaving her house in August.
Sgt. David Lee with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says the individual is in custody, but police are not identifying the suspect at this time.

“IHIT is continuing to search at the Onotera residence,” he told CityNews Friday evening.
“At this time we have the IHIT investigators as well as our forensic identification section on the scene searching the residence, and the search will continue on today and probably until tomorrow.”

Posters around the city have been hanging since the 40-year-old mother went missing. Homicide teams took over the case a month later.
Onotera’s home is on the corner of 200th Street and 50th Avenue.
