Richmond RCMP seek witnesses after apparent shooting

After a man showed up at Richmond General Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds Sunday, Mounties are appealing to the public for information.
Officers were called to the hospital around 8:30 a.m. and found “a man suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting,” according to a statement. “At this moment, this appears to be an isolated incident. The motive and conduct of this investigation is now with our Serious Crimes Unit.”

No other details have been provided but anyone who was driving in the area of Westminster Highway and Gilbert Road between 8 and 8:15 a.m. is being asked to review their dashcam footage. Anyone with information is being asked to call (604) 278-1212.
