Pettersson joins Brock Boeser (placed on the protocol list on Dec. 29), Phil Di Giuseppe (Dec. 29), Justin Dowling (Dec. 30) and Jason Dickinson (Jan. 1).
Pettersson, 23, has six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 34 games this season.
Late last month the NHL has postponed nine additional games due to restricted attendance rules in Canadian cities due to COVID-19 concerns in Canada and the United States.
The postponements included the Cancuks’ game Wednesday against the New York Islanders.
