B.C. MMA trainer, self-defence instructor charged with sexual exploitation

Ridge Meadows RCMP are looking for more possible victims after a B.C. mixed martial arts (MMA) trainer was charged with sexually exploiting a teenage girl over a number of years.
Danyal Bahramfar, also known as “Daniel Golkar”, is from Coquitlam but taught in Pitt Meadows. He also taught group self-defence classes in the community.
Police say accusations surfaced in October that a teen was sexually exploited for several years during MMA training sessions dating back to 2016.
“Through the investigation, witness statements indicate the suspect was involved with other female gym members,” reads a statement from Ridge Meadows RCMP.
“Police are confirming the accused’s name and issuing his photo in an effort to locate further witnesses and individuals who may have information.”
Bahramfar, 34, has been charged with two counts of sexual exploitation.
