Man stabbed, killed in Abbotsford

A 30-year-old man has died in hospital after police say he was stabbed in Abbotsford Tuesday afternoon.
An officer was flagged down around 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of Emerson Street and Simon Avenue. Soon after, police found a man suffering from stab wounds in Inspiration Park.

“The male was transported to hospital where he, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries,” says a statement from Const. Paul Walker, with the Abbotsford Police Department.
“We are in the preliminary stages of this investigation. No suspect(s) have been identified or arrested at this time.”

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in.
