About Sonia

Sonia has been in broadcast journalism for nearly two decades and began working at CityNews in 2008 after being a writer and associate producer at a local TV station. At 1130 NewsRadio Vancouver, she has worn many hats, including digital team lead and anchor, but now focuses on producing and reporting. She's also a contributor to the Big Story Podcast. A Langara College alum, Sonia is a multi-award winning journalist, having been part of several RTDNA award-winning stories. She's also a two-time Webster Awards nominee and multi-Murrow Award winner.
