Coquitlam RCMP pull over ‘erratic driver’, find him with gunshot wounds

One man is in hospital after police pulled him over for driving erratically in Port Coquitlam, only to find the man was suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Coquitlam RCMP says they stopped the driver early Saturday morning around 2:30 a.m. along Lougheed Highway.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but police believed the victim is linked to a shooting near Lougheed Highway and Gordon Avenue.
Police gave the driver, who was in serious condition, first aid before he was sent to the hospital.
The initial indications are that this shooting is between parties known to one another with no continued risk to the public.
RCMP says they are in the early stages of the investigation.
