A special weather statement has been issued for Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and Sea to Sky region due to cold temperatures.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says overnight temperatures will hover between minus 10 and minus 15 degrees, due to outflow winds producing unusually cold windchill values.
During the day, it will be warmer, but well below seasonal normals.
In Vancouver, Monday could reach a high of 6 degrees, with a chillier Tuesday and Wednesday expected at a high of 2 degrees.

The five-day forecast does predict a warmup following Wednesday.
B.C. has seen some very warm days recently, with many spending Saturday on an outdoor patio.
However, it is still winter, and putting those warm clothes away is still premature.
B.C. broke dozens of records at the end of 2021 when an arctic outflow plunged temperatures to lows some areas hadn’t seen since the 1800s, but the current forecast is not expected to be a repeat of December’s cold snap.
