Tatlow Park homicide: Vancouver police looking for person of interest

Vancouver police are hoping to speak to a person who was near Tatlow Park the day investigators believe the park caretaker was killed.

Justis Daniels was found dead at his Kitsilano home near W. 3rd Ave. and MacDonald St. at around 11 a.m. Dec. 10. Police believe he was killed the day before.

“The man shown in the video can be seen walking on the south side of Point Grey Road on the afternoon of Dec. 9, 2021, the day we believe Justis was killed,” Const. Tania Visintin said.

Security footage shared by police show a person walking on the other side of the road. No facial features or other characteristics are visible.

“Investigators believe this man could have information that may assist the investigation,” Visintin said.

Police haven’t said how Daniels died. In the days following the caretaker’s death, police shared surveillance photos of the 77-year-old victim in the hopes of generating tips.
