Coast Capital Savings to take system offline for four full days in April

Coast Capital Savings customers are being warned that all access to online banking will be down April 8 at 8 p.m. until the morning of April 13 due to a systems upgrade.

The Coast Capital branches will also be closed throughout the temporary suspension of services.

However, debit cards will still work, and ATMs can be used to make deposits and withdrawals.

Coast Capital says the upgrade is being done to position the B.C. credit union to support ongoing innovation.

“While Coast Capital’s digital services and branch network will be unavailable, our Advice Centre will be open 24/7 throughout the outage to provide assistance to any of our members who may have questions, and help address situations in which there are unanticipated or emergency impacts. We thank our members for their patience and understanding as we work to make this essential upgrade as seamless as possible,” Coast Capital wrote in a statement to CityNews.

Coast Capital adds, “We are working to minimize the impact on our members by informing them of the outage with ample time to plan ahead and avoid undue frustration.”
