Masks, vaccine card still required at Vancouver airport

As B.C. is set to bring the mask mandate and vaccine card program to an end, these measures will remain in place at Vancouver International Airport.

In an update Thursday, the airport authority said the updates to provincial health orders will not apply at the terminal or onboard flights.

“This announcement is a welcome shift for British Columbians as we move through the pandemic and look forward to recovery,” the statement said.

“At YVR, we’re federally regulated and take direction from the Government of Canada on health measures. For those travelling, masks remain mandatory in the terminal and onboard your flight. Proof of vaccination continues to be required for all air travel.”

Airports in Montreal, Calgary, and Toronto are also keeping these requirements in place.
