North Vancouver train derailment affects at least two CN cars

At least two railcars on a Canadian National Railway (CN) train have derailed in North Vancouver Sunday night.
CN confirms the railcars contain solid sulfur and some of the material leaked onto CN property.
A train has derailed in North Vancouver affecting two CN train railcars. According to CN, railcars contain solid sulfur, and preliminary information suggests there was a leak. No danger to public safety at this point, cause of the derailment is under investigation. @CityNewsVAN

There is no danger to the public at this point and it’s not clear what caused the derailment.
The Squamish Nation confirms the incident – adding there will be noise disruptions through the night – as repairs continue.
A chain-link fence was damaged and broken glass was also seen at the derailed section.
