Lillooet man charged with murder

A Lillooet man is accused of murder in the death of another in the community last week.
The RCMP say last Tuesday evening, a man was found suffering from serious injuries on Main Street near 6 Avenue. Police haven’t described the nature of those injuries.
The 25-year-old victim later died in the hospital. He has been identified as Leeland Alexander, who lived in Lillooet.
On Saturday, a suspect was arrested and has since been charged. Justin Ehlert has been charged with second-degree murder.
It’s unclear whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
Police say there is no “elevated risk” to the public.
