Air Canada suspends Vancouver-Delhi flights over Ukraine war

Air Canada has announced the airline will be suspending direct flights between Vancouver and Delhi, India this summer due to required fueling stops in an effort to avoid the conflict zone in Eastern Europe.

Summer weather conditions are also said to be a factor in the cancellation, and the suspension is set to last between June 2 and Sept. 6.

“Summer wind and weather conditions in South Asia are expected to compound these constraints, making the route unviable during this period,” Air Canada wrote in the statement.
