The apparent frontrunner in the race to replace Erin O’Toole as federal Conservative leader got a high profile endorsement while he was in Langley on Sunday.
Former B.C. finance minister Mike de Jong says Pierre Poilievre is the country’s best bet to bring back what he calls “fiscal sanity.”
de Jong, the BC Liberal MLA for Abbotsford West, made the comments on social media.
As a former Finance Minister, it’s clear we need to bring back fiscal sanity and common sense to the country’s finances. From my perspective, @PierrePoilievre is the guy to do just that!

Poilievre also made stops in Vancouver, Kelowna and Vernon over the weekend. He is set to visit Calgary and Edmonton on Tuesday and Thursday.
