Driver killed in Surrey multi-vehicle crash, multiple in hospital

A multi-vehicle collision in Surrey at around 7 p.m. Tuesday has left one person dead and others in hospital.
According to Surrey RCMP, a driver was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Whalley on 108 Avenue near 140 Street.
Due to the severity of the collision, 108 Avenue has been shut down between 139 Street and 140 Street with traffic control personnel in place.
Mounties are asking the public to avoid the area while they investigate. It is unknown how long the closure will last.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
