Charges laid in targeted December Surrey shooting

A man has been charged in connection with a shooting near Surrey Memorial Hospital in December.
Charges of aggravated assault and firearms offences have been laid against Tevain Lloyd.
A Canada-wide warrant had been issued for his arrest. Surrey RCMP advised of the warrant on April 19 and say he was arrested in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood later that same day.
On Dec. 30, 2021, a man was shot at a home on Laurel Drive, which is south of Fraser Highway and east of King George Boulevard. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP said at the time it was believed to be a targeted shooting.

Lloyd remains in custody pending his next court appearance.
