The BC Prosecution Service has approved several charges against a Fort St. John man, which include a sexual assault dating back to 2007.
Justin Sewell has been charged with sexual assault, two counts of voyeurism, and overcoming resistance to commission of offence.
According to Mounties all of the charges are related to a 2007 incident in Charlie Lake, B.C.
RCMP say they were made aware of these allegations in August 2019, and immediately began an investigation.
Although there may be questions related to the circumstances around these incidents, this matter is now before the court, and as such no further information will be provided
said B.C. RCMP Media Relations Sgt. Chris Manseau.
Sewell has been arrested, and issued release conditions including a Release Order to appear on May 16, at the Fort St John Provincial Court for his first appearance.
“The Fort St John RCMP is asking anyone with more information, or feels they may too have been a victim to call them.”
