A familiar name has been nominated by the BC Liberals as the party’s candidate in the upcoming Surrey South byelection.
Elenore Sturko, an RCMP sergeant in Surrey, has been given the nod.
Many may know Sturko from her time as the Surrey RCMP’s media relations officer. She lives in the South Surrey community with her wife and three kids.
In a statement, Sturko says she’s tired of what she calls “the NDP’s failed promises,” adding she wants to “bring fresh ideas and a new perspective to Victoria on behalf of the people of Surrey South.”
