A water main break in Delta is causing issues in New Westminster. Anyone living in the Royal City’s downtown core and along Ewen Avenue in Queensborough may be seeing cloudy water when they turn on their tap Thursday morning.
The city says to get rid of the sediment, run the cold water tap until it is clear.
Due to a water main break in @CityofDeltaBC that affected a @MetroVancouver water main, residents in downtown #NewWest and along Ewen Ave may be experiencing cloudy water. To remove sediment, run cold water tap until water runs clear. More info at: https://t.co/meJOKhR0Sl

The City of New Westminster says crews will be flushing water mains in the areas Thursday, but there is no estimated completion date at this time.
@New_Westminster mains flushing downtown / quayside? We got muddy water last night. Is the schedule posted anywhere?

Several people took to Twitter late Wednesday to ask the city about the water, reporting that it had been normal in the afternoon.
