Homicide team called to early morning Port Coquitlam shooting

Coquitlam RCMP say a person was found dead following reports of a shooting in Port Coquitlam early Thursday morning.

Mounties were called to Davies Avenue near Raleigh Street just after 1:00 a.m. and found a deceased male when they arrived.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case, and few details have been provided into the death, or if there is a search for a suspect.

IHIT only saying that the shooting appears to be targeted.

The area, which is a mix of residential and industrial properties, is east of Westwood Street.
