At least one wolf is still on the loose after several escaped their enclosure in a “suspicious” incident at the Greater Vancouver Zoo Tuesday.
The BC Conservation Service is on-site in Langley after multiple wolves were found outside their enclosure.
The Ministry of Environment says Greater Vancouver Zoo staff, along with conservation officers, are working to recapture them.
In a statement posted to its website, the zoo says it is now working with Langley RCMP and the conservation service.
“This is an ongoing investigation and is suspicious, and believed to be due to malicious intent,” the zoo said.

Earlier Tuesday around 9 a.m., the zoo posted on its Facebook page announcing that it would be closed for the entire day.
