If you’re considering an outing to Golden Ears Provincial Park and Alouette Lake, keep in mind parts of the park are currently closed.
The North Beach campground and Gold Creek parking lot are closed until further notice. This is due to “structural damage of the Gold Creek bridge after a recent motor vehicle accident,” according to BC Parks.
However, pedestrians can still use the bridge.
Day-use passes for Gold Creek parking won’t be available until the bridge re-opens, but it’s unclear how long it will take for that to happen.
Gold Creek bridge will be open for pedestrian traffic for now. Backcountry permit holders going to East Canyon Trail can park in West Canyon parking lot and walk from there.

In the meantime, all other areas of the park remain open for campers and day-pass users.
