Senior dead after motorcycle crash near Kamloops

A man in his 80s is dead after a motorcycle crash outside of Kamloops Tuesday afternoon.
The RCMP says officers and emergency services responded at around 4:50 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 at Rodeo Drive in Cherry Creek.
When first responders arrived, they found a van towing a trailer had pulled into the path of a motorcycle.
Mounties say the man riding the motorcycle died in the crash, while the driver of the van, a man in his 70s, was not hurt.
They add the driver of the van “remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.”
The cause of the collision is still being investigated.
The RCMP is looking for witnesses, including anyone with dash-cam video. Anyone with information is asked to contact BCHP Kamloops at 250-828-3111 and cite file number 2022-4051.
