West Vancouver police ask public for help finding stolen church bell

Police in West Vancouver are trying to find a stolen copper bell taken from the St. Stephens Anglican Church.

They say on Sept. 8 they received a report the bell was stolen from the front door of the church between Aug. 24 and Aug. 25.

The bell is described as 500lbs with “CORONATION” written on it. Police add the bell was recently donated to the church.

“This is an unfortunate event, and we are hoping that whoever took this item will return it,” said Cst. Nicole Braithwaite “We are asking for any information that might lead us to the missing church bell.”
