Vancouver man with dementia missing

Vancouver police are asking the public for help finding a missing 77-year-old man with dementia.

The VPD says Francis Lunas was last seen Monday. He left his home on East 29th Avenue and Rupert Street around 1 p.m. for a walk and has not been heard from since.

He is described as a Filipino man with darker skin. He is 5’4″ tall and has a slim build.

Lunas has ear-length grey hair and a grey moustache. He was last seen wearing jeans, a green and brown sweater, and a hat. He also has the name ‘Francis’ tattooed on his left inner forearm.

The senior does not speak English well. Police say he is often seen collecting bottles and cans, and has no money or cell phone. He may have a wallet with ID inside.

Anyone with information about Lunas or who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1 right away and to stay with him until first responders arrive.
