Kennedy Stewart has some new high-profile endorsements backing his run for re-election as Vancouver’s mayor.
The incumbent and his Forward Together team now have the support from a list of prominent politicians, environmentalists, and overdose prevention advocates.
Supporters include B.C.’s New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate David Eby, former premier and Vancouver mayor Mike Harcourt, NDP MP Jenny Kwan, Stand.earth co-founder Tzeporah Berman, Minister of State for Child Care Katrina Chen, and Sarah Blyth, executive director of the Overdose Prevention Society.

This announcement comes shortly after Ken Sim’s endorsement from the Vancouver Police Union, the first time the organization has given a candidate its blessing.
The municipal election will be held on Oct. 15, where Stewart is running for his second four-year term.
