Police say Majidpour has been taken to jail but did not say what charges are being laid.
On Sept. 27, a 19-year-old Asian woman was hit in the back of the head with a pole while walking near Cambie Street and Dunsmuir Street, with the suspect uttering racial slurs as he ran away, according to police. The woman required medical attention for injuries.
Police say the incident is a stranger attack, as the woman did not know the suspect.
