Port Coquitlam voters did not have to elect a new mayor, with Brad West being acclaimed as he ran unopposed.
However, locals did vote for six city councillors on Oct. 15, with 11 to choose from.
Meanwhile, Port Coquitlam’s two school trustees were also re-elected by acclamation, as no other candidates ran against Christine Pollock and Michael Thomas.
The city has also voted in six city councillors.
Steve Darling, Nancy McCurrach, Darrell Penner, Paige Petriw, Glenn Pollock and Dean Washington will join West in chamber halls.
The council says the inauguration will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. This will also be the first meeting of the new council.
