Lose a ring in Langley? Coqutilam RCMP wants to get it back to you

Mounties in Coquitlam are hoping to return a ring they say was found in a potted plant bought in Langley this past June.

The RCMP says a person bought the plant from the Walmart on 66 Avenue by 203 Street, and took it home not noticing the piece of jewelry was inside. They reported the item to police on June 10.

“Due to the unique design and features of the ring, we believe that it may hold sentimental value to the owner,” said Cpl. Alexa Hodgins.

“It’s possible that the owner was not aware where they lost the ring given the circumstance in which it was found. We hope that appealing to the public will help reunite the ring to its rightful owner.”

The ring is described as appearing to be custom-made, in yellow gold with diamonds encrusted in the shape of an ‘L’.

Mountie say the ring has some “unique features,” adding the rightful owner will be required to detail an inscription on the piece, as well as any other identifying marks.
