North Vancouver RCMP Serious Crime Unit called after man claiming to be off-duty police officer, and one hurt

North Vancouver RCMP says a woman was seriously injured after falling off of her bike, when a man claiming to be an off-duty police officer told her to stop.
Mounties say the incident happened on July 10, and since then the North Vancouver Serious Crime Unit has been called in.
According to the RCMP, the woman was riding her bike along the Spirit Trail when she was directed by the person, which then caused her to fall.

RCMP are now hoping to speak with any witnesses.
“We are aware that there were multiple people who witnessed the incident and interacted with the man who claimed to be a police officer,” Cst. Mansoor Sahak explained.
“We are asking for those people to come forward and speak to us.”
