Man who allegedly exposed himself to kids, almost hit by vehicle; Burnaby RCMP

Burnaby RCMP are now asking for dash-cam footage, after Mounties say a man who allegedly exposed himself to kids was almost hit by a vehicle.

On Nov. 10 before 11 a.m., Mounties say the person was reportedly pacing in the area of the Maywood Community School in Burnaby when the exposure allegedly occurred.

But now investigating officers say police believe the suspect was nearly struck by a passing vehicle after the “indecent act” happened.

“Witness(es) recall a vehicle nearly striking a man and then honking at him as he crossed Central Blvd. northbound near Bennett Street (Bonsor Recreation Complex area) after the incident. It appears the man left the area northbound on Bennett Street,” a release from the Burnaby RCMP explained.

“You might have the information we are looking for,” he added.

Officers are still looking for information on the identity of the man, who is described as wearing a black face mask, blue jacket, black pants, and blue and white runners.

Anyone with information or who was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file number 22-37848.
