Coquitlam RCMP looking to return large sum of cash found at IKEA

Coquitlam RCMP is looking for someone who literally dropped a large sum of cash at an IKEA store.
Mounties say the money was found at the store on Lougheed Highway on Sept. 11, which was turned into police after an employee found it.

Police think the cash was left behind sometime in early September.
Cpl. Alexa Hodgins says the person who turned the money over to the police “demonstrated genuine integrity.”
“Coquitlam RCMP would like to remind the public to report lost large sums of money to the Police to increase the chances of having the money returned,” she said.

If this cash belongs to you, you’re being asked to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2022-29400. Anyone trying to claim the cash will be required to say how much was lost, and how it was stored to prove ownership.
