Tips, tricks, and a love for skateboarding is bringing riders to Granville Island this weekend.
Skateboarders of all levels can grab their boards, and ride with friends and family at the All Aboard event.
The event is put on by the Vancouver Skateboard Coalition (VSBC) and Granville Island, and takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
“All Aboard is a weekend full of skateboarding for all ages and all abilities,” the VSBC said on social media.
According to the group’s website, riders can learn more about how to ride by taking lessons, or challenge their skills by getting tips on how to do tricks.
There will also be a “best trick” contest, a skater’s lounge, and an opportunity to get creative in art workshops.
Riders can join in the scheduled programming by registering with the group, or participate in daily drop-in skateboarding.
“All Aboard also provides a temporary, covered mini ramp for the skateboard community. This pop up shows and demonstrates the need for a publicly accessible, dry, well lit, safe, and fun skateboard facility in Vancouver during winter months,” the group said on its website.
