One dead after two-vehicle crash in Vancouver

Vancouver police say an 88-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle collision near the Marpole neighbourhood Saturday evening.

The VPD says officers were called to an incident near Oak Street and 59th Avenue, near Oak Park, just before 6 p.m. for a crash between a Honda Accord and Toyota Corolla.

Police say the driver of the Toyota died at the scene. One other person was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police added.

Editor’s note: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated it was the driver of the Honda who died, not the driver of the Toyota. The story has since been updated with the correct information.
