Homicide investigators say they have charged an Alberta man in connection with a Chilliwack murder dating back to 2018.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says Harry Christensen has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the death of 27-year-old Kyle Cromarty.
On Oct. 4, 2018, police responded to a call for a man in medical distress on Yale Road near Broadway in Chilliwack. When RCMP officers arrived, they found Cromarty, who had been shot.
He later died in the hospital, police say, prompting IHIT to be called in.

The case was transferred to IHIT’s Cold Case Unit in March of 2021, which included investigators who “specialize in advancing challenging homicide investigations.”
Police say Christensen was arrested on Nov. 25, 2022, with the first-degree murder charge laid the next day.
